History & Description
Adcom, an American hi-fi manufacturer, rose to prominence in the 1980s for producing high-value separates that rivaled more expensive audiophile gear. The GTP-400 was a tuner-preamplifier that offered clean preamp functionality with an integrated FM tuner, designed to pair seamlessly with Adcom’s power amps. The GFA-II, one of Adcom’s earlier power amplifiers, helped establish the brand’s reputation for rugged build quality and transparent sound. Together, the GTP-400 and GFA-II made a popular combo for budget-conscious audiophiles who wanted separates without sacrificing performance.

Dimensions approx. 430 mm (W) x 135 mm (H) x 330 mm (D), weight about 12 kg. This pairing offered excellent synergy and is still respected among vintage audio fans.
